The Legendary Collection

The Sounds That Defined Generations 🎹

There is a world of synths out there. The first synth was built in 1876 however this was a basic single single note oscillator. Since then, the anatomy of the synth has become ever more advanced. The golden years of the technology were during the 1970's and 1980's when many manufacturers released some of the most sought after models ever produced. Their sounds are legendary through their use in so many hit songs from the Moog used on "Donna Summer - I Feel Love" to the Roland Jupiter 8 used in "Europe - The Final Countdown".

Manufactures Include:

  • Roland
  • Yamaha
  • Korg
  • Arp
  • Moog

Audio Quality

The Highest Quality Audio In Existence 🚀

High-resolution audio term used by some recorded-music retailers and high-fidelity sound reproduction equipment vendors. It refers to higher than 44.1 kHz sample rate and/or higher than 16-bit linear bit depth. It usually means 96 kHz (or even much higher), sometimes informally written as "96k", meaning a Nyquist frequency of 48 kHz, which is outside of the hearing range of the human ear

Popular Formats Include:

  • WAV
  • AIFF
  • FLAC

Real Time Control & Ultra Low Latency

Play It Like Its In You Hands ⚡

Latency refers to a short period of delay (usually measured in milliseconds) between when an audio signal enters and when it emerges from a system. Potential contributors to latency in an audio system include analog-to-digital conversion, buffering, digital signal processing, transmission time, digital-to-analog conversion and the speed of sound in the transmission medium.

Signal travels through optical network cables at about 2/3 the speed of light in vacuum. At this speed, every 588 km adds roughly 3 milliseconds of latency. The fastest that audio can circle the globe is thus about 200 milliseconds. In practice, network latency is higher because the path a signal takes between two nodes is not a straight line, and because of the signal processing that also occurs along the way.

Synths Are Like Fine Wines 🤑

It seems they we not appreciated at the time. When some of the most popular synths of today were originally released, they were see as a commercial failure. Take the Roland TB-303 for example. This little silver box was originally created as an accompaniment tool for guitar players, to act as a bass guitar. It has never and will never sound like a bass guitar! As a result it ended up in pawn shops and thrift stores. From here it found its way into the hands for electronic music producers from Chicago and Detroit. Acid House was born and the rest is history. There synths now regularly fetch upwards of $3000.
